Hubert Michalak

Senior Vice President / Market Leader (Poland)

Hubert Michalak joined Hillwood in October 2014 and serves as Senior Vice President, leading Hillwood’s Poland operations. Recently opening an office in Warsaw, Hubert is responsible for developing and managing Poland’s investment platform.

Prior to joining Hillwood, Hubert was as a Partner at AIG/Lincoln, a European joint venture between AIG Global Real Estate Investment Corporation and Lincoln Property Company that develops, leases and manages a portfolio of multi-purpose assets throughout key markets in Europe. In this role he was responsible for industrial and logistics projects in Poland. Prior to AIG/Lincoln, Hubert served at Viterra Development, a large German multi-function real estate company that invested in various developments of residential projects in Poland and Germany.

Hubert holds a Masters degree from the University of Warsaw and is fluent in Polish and English.

Ross Perot, Jr.

Chairman, The Perot Companies and Hillwood

A Dallas, Texas native Ross Perot, Jr. serves as Chairman of The Perot Group, which manages the various Perot family interests that include real estate, oil and gas and financial investments. Additionally, Mr. Perot is Chairman of Hillwood, a Texas-based, leading global real estate development company which he founded in 1988.

Mr. Perot is a founder of Perot Systems Corporation and served in various roles including CEO, Chairman of the Board, and a member of its Board of Directors, until the company was acquired by Dell Inc. in 2009. Mr. Perot served on the Dell Inc. Board of Directors from 2009-2013.

An aviation enthusiast, Mr. Perot completed the first helicopter flight around the world in less than 30 days in 1982, and served as a pilot in the United States Air Force for over 8 years. Perot then served as chairman of the Air Force Memorial Foundation where he led a 14-year effort to build the United States Air Force Memorial in Washington, DC, honoring the men and women of the United States Air Force. The Memorial was dedicated to the Nation in October 2006.

Mr. Perot has won numerous awards throughout his life and career including the Gold Medal Award for Extraordinary Service from President Ronald Reagan, the Woodrow Wilson Award for Corporate Citizenship and the Secretary of Defense Medal for Outstanding Public Service. Most recently, Mr. Perot was inducted into Junior Achievement's 2017 Dallas Business Hall of Fame, was named one of the Most Powerful Business Leaders in Dallas-Fort Worth as a member of the 'Dallas 500' by D Magazine and was co-awarded, alongside his father, the inaugural Vision Award from the Urban Land Institute North Texas District Council.

Mr. Perot currently serves as Chairman of the Board of the EastWest Institute and serves on the boards of the Dallas Citizens Council, Vanderbilt University, and the Smithsonian National Air & Space Museum.

Todd Platt

Chief Executive Officer, Hillwood Investments

Todd Platt is Chief Executive Officer of Hillwood Investments, which encompasses all of Hillwood’s industrial, residential and investment business in locations outside AllianceTexas.

Hillwood has purchased and developed more than 109 million square feet of industrial property in the U.S., Canada and Europe. Additionally, Hillwood owns and controls land around the U.S. and Europe for the development of over 90 million square feet of industrial buildings, making Hillwood one of the top two largest controllers of industrial land positions in the U.S.  Hillwood is also active in the U.S., Canada, Poland and Germany.

Since joining Hillwood in 1999, Platt has been involved in sale/lease and development transactions valued at approximately $8 billion.

Platt entered the industrial real estate business in the Dallas/Fort Worth market in 1981. An active member of the local real estate community, he served as president of the NAIOP Commercial Real Estate Development Association’s North Texas chapter in 2007.

Platt attended the University of Missouri, where he studied real estate and general studies.

Tal Hicks

President, Hillwood Investment Properties

Since 1998, Tal Hicks has overseen the creation and growth of the company's Hillwood Investment Properties division.  Created to develop and acquire commercial properties in locations other than Hillwood’s flagship property, AllianceTexas, the company now serves 21 markets across North America and Europe.

Under Tal’s leadership over the last 18 years, Hillwood Investment Properties has dramatically expanded its portfolio, developing 59 million square feet and acquiring over 30 million square feet. Today, the company’s current markets include < style="letter-spacing: 0pt;">Phoenix, AZ; Southern California; Jacksonville, FL; Atlanta, GA; Chicago, IL; Indianapolis, IN; Las Vegas and Reno, NV; Cincinnati and Columbus, OH; Central Pennsylvania; Memphis and Nashville TN; and various markets in Canada, Germany and Poland.

Headquartered in Dallas, TX with more than 100 associates, Hillwood’s footprint includes 6 other U.S. offices located in Southern California; Jacksonville, FL; Atlanta, GA; Chicago, IL; Memphis, TN; and Harrisburg, PA. Hillwood has grown internationally as well, opening offices in Frankfurt, Germany; Warsaw, Poland and Luxembourg.

Prior to joining Hillwood, Hicks was employed 11 years as a principal with Trammell Crow Company. Previously he worked as a CPA in the tax division of Arthur Anderson & Company.

After graduating Cum Laude from the University of Mississippi with a Bachelor of Accounting degree in 1984, Hicks earned an M.B.A. from the University of Texas in 1987.

Bob Vicente

Executive Vice President, CFO, COO Hillwood Investments

Robert (Bob) Vicente serves as Executive Vice President, CFO, COO of Hillwood Investment Properties, and has responsibility for Capital Markets, Finance and Operations.

Prior to joining Hillwood, Vicente was Chief Financial Officer of TVO North America and EPT Management Company which is a privately held real estate company with a portfolio of multi-family assets. Vicente also served as Vice President of Corporate Finance for Security Capital Group, overseeing financial aspects of capital market transactions, merger and acquisitions and treasury operations.

From 1986-1999, Robert served in the United States Coast Guard and was awarded a Meritorious Service Medal, two Commendation Medals, an Achievement Medal, and a Commandant’s Letter of Commendation for exceptional leadership and outstanding judgment and performance.

Vicente earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in electrical engineering from the United States Coast Guard Academy in 1986 and a Master’s of Business Administration from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 1996.
