Hillwood is investing in Częstochowa

Hillwood Poland has started the construction of a modern logistics center in Częstochowa, right at Jaskrowska street and Wojska Polskiego avenue. Ultimately, the investment will consist of two halls and will provide the market with over 61 thousand sqm of warehousing space. The first, larger building will be put into service already at the end of Q2 next year.

Hillwood Częstochowa-City is a modern warehousing center built directly at the trunk road no. 91 (a part of A1/E75 route), running from the north to the south of Europe. Ultimately, the Center will consist of two halls with a total space of over 61 thousand sqm, and the first building, whose construction has just started, will provide almost 43 thousand sqm to the market. The general contractor for the project is Rex-Bud.

“This is yet another project near Częstochowa from Hillwood that creates enduring interest among tenants, providing companies with the perfect base for transferring goods to domestic and foreign markets. A huge asset of our investment is its location in the city itself and access to workers that will for sure provide great support for accomplishing business goals for the warehousing and logistics companies operating their businesses at the facility”, says Hubert Michalak, President of the Board of Hillwood Poland.

Hillwood ensures safe and swift access to its projects. When planning the park, the company took into consideration the requirements of its urban location and participated in the construction of the road connecting Jaskrowska and Warszawska streets. All the necessary cycling and pedestrian infrastructure was built along the road. The section built features modern lighting and green landscaping. The total cost of investment was over 6.8 million PLN, with the participation of Hillwood at a level exceeding 4.1 million.

“Cooperation with Hillwood resulted in a new road serving the residents and traffic to and from the logistics center under construction; soon, it will also result in new, attractive workplaces”, says Krzysztof Matyjaszczyk, Mayor of Częstochowa.“Częstochowa is considered one of the best warehousing and industrial locations in the country. This is confirmed by Hillwood’s investment, reinforcing our position on the business map of Poland and driving our city’s economic growth”, adds Krzysztof Matyjaszczyk.

Ultimately, the Hillwood Częstochowa-City investment will consist of two high-bay halls in Class A standard. Like with all other buildings of this developer, the warehouses under construction will be fitted with LED lighting. Both buildings will meet the highest fire resistance standard – over 4000 MJ/sqm. Within the warehousing center premises, the developer will build a big and comfortable parking lot for tenants and their customers. The project will be executed with utmost care for the environment and will be submitted for BREEAM certification at the “excellent” level.

“Upper Silesia is, right after the capital city, the second greatest and most important logistics market in Poland, and in the first half of the year, it attracted even higher interest from tenants than the capital city. Within the first six months, companies rented nearly 770 thousand sqm of modern manufacturing and warehousing space, making the region rank first in the country. Due to the location and the region’s perfect road connections, we are noticing a high interest for Silesia from logistics, manufacturing and automotive companies, as well as from the e-commerce industry”, says Hubert Michalak
