Hillwood Polska Co-Creates an Investment Bridge Between Poland and Taiwan

On March 25, 2025, a landmark event took place in Warsaw, where the Polish-Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, together with its partners – Hillwood Polska, Grupa SKB, and the Kamienna Góra, Katowice, and Legnica Special Economic Zones – signed a declaration of cooperation aimed at attracting Taiwanese investments to Poland. The event was also attended by Michał Jaros, Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Technology.

The signing of the declaration reflects the shared commitment of the partners to promote Poland as an attractive destination for Taiwanese investors and highlights the importance of synergy and coordinated communication. The initiative’s goal is to present Poland as a prime investment hub in Central and Eastern Europe, tailored to the needs and expectations of Taiwanese businesses.

Polish Special Economic Zones play a key role in the project. Thanks to a wide range of tax incentives, comprehensive administrative support, and ready-to-use investment infrastructure, the Kamienna Góra, Katowice, and Legnica SEZs provide a solid foundation for future investors. Their involvement ensures not only favorable conditions for doing business but also access to a highly skilled workforce and a dynamically growing market.

Among the initiative’s strategic partners are leading Taiwanese organizations and enterprises, including Taiwania Capital, Formosa Plastics Corporation, and the Taiwan Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers’ Association (TEEMA).

The launch event brought together representatives from both Polish and Taiwanese institutions, including Cyryl Kozaczewski, Director of the Polish Office in Taipei; Michał Jaros, State Secretary at the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology; and Richard Lee, Chairman of TEEMA.

“The Polish Investment Hub is a new initiative by the Polish-Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry. We want to showcase the synergy of multiple stakeholders in building a cohesive ecosystem open to Taiwanese investment. Cooperation between businesses and business support institutions, as well as jointly highlighting our country’s strengths, is not only beneficial for companies – it’s exactly the approach expected by our Taiwanese partners. Taiwan sees Poland as a gateway to Europe and a valuable internal market, but we need to demonstrate that it is a coherent market offering a diverse and complementary set of competitive advantages across its regions. That’s our goal – complementarity, not rivalry. We must remember that from the Asian perspective, Poland is perceived holistically – as a sum of its strengths,”says Agnieszka Sygitowicz, President of the Polish-Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

„Hillw“As an active partner of this project, Hillwood Polska has been developing modern logistics and industrial parks for many years. Our extensive experience in delivering advanced projects can be a crucial factor in fostering cooperation with Taiwanese companies, particularly in the areas of technology, manufacturing, and R&D. What’s more, we offer a broad portfolio of land perfectly suited for large-scale international projects – in locations such as Konin, Nidzica, or Zgorzelec. We firmly believe that collaboration and a shared strategy are key to attracting high-value investment projects from Taiwan and across Asia. With our experience and strategic approach, we are ready to support investors at every stage of their projects,”
emphasizes Hubert Michalak, President of Hillwood Polska.

Deputy Minister Michał Jaros also highlighted the importance of broad partnerships in accelerating Poland’s economic development. He noted that the signed declaration marks a significant step in building a strong foundation for long-term economic cooperation between Poland and Taiwan. He especially acknowledged the vital role of Special Economic Zones, which are increasingly becoming catalysts for international investment by offering competitive conditions for the growth of modern industry.
