An international retail chain chooses the Hillwood Łowicz South logistics park
A new Hillwood Warehousing Center is under construction at the Łowicz South junction. Hillwood, a leading commercial spaces developer, has started the construction of a new Hillwood Łowicz South logistics park. The two buildings will offer a total warehousing and office space of 108 thousand sqm. Construction will be completed in Q1 next year, while the first tenant will be the Dealz retail chain.
Dealz is an international retail chain, part of the Pepco Group. The first Dealz store in Poland was open in February 2018. Currently, the chain operates over 130 premises, offering over 3 thousand products of popular brands, including groceries, beauty products, decorations and home equipment, toys, tools and products for pets.
At Hillwood Łowicz South, Dealz has rented 47,700 sqm of warehousing and office space/amenities. The warehouse will serve as a distribution center for the Dealz chain in Poland.
Hillwood Łowicz South is a facility located in Łyszkowice, approximately 1 km from the entrance onto the A2 motorway (Łowicz junction). This location ensures that the warehousing park is perfectly connected with both Warsaw and Berlin. Fast connections to the southern and northern markets are ensured by the A1 motorway, located only 24 km away from the warehousing center. The facility consists of two halls with a total area of 108,627 sqm (39,112 sqm in Hall A and 69,515 sqm in Hall B), with an above-standard height of 12 m and higher load-bearing capacity of the floor of 10 t/sqm. The investment also involved alteration of about 1 km of the access road, which cost 1.2 million EUR. With this investment, the residents of the gmina gained a wider road with a new pavement, sidewalk and lighting.
“Dealz have rented almost half of the space available at the Hillwood Łowicz South project. We are glad that the company chose this location for their new distribution center. The space will be adjusted to the customer’s needs and will meet the expectations concerning each and every item from such a vast assortment of products stored at the warehouse”, says Wojciech Dachniewski, Business Development Director, Hillwood Poland.“Central Poland is the third biggest warehousing market in the country, with a strategic location and access to motor- and expressways – which explains such a big interest of companies with this location,” he adds.
