Industrial Park Poland by Hillwood – a new road to the biggest planned industrial and logistical park in Poland
Hillwood is commencing the development and modernization of access roads connecting the largest planned industrial and logistical park in Poland, Industrial Park Poland by Hillwood, with the A2 motorway.
– Stare Miasto Municipality leverages its convenient location along the A2 motorway and available infrastructure to attract new investors and promote economic development in the municipality. illwood, the main partner participating in the expansion of the industrial-logistics park, located near the Konin Wschód interchange, has signed an agreement with the municipality for the expansion and construction of access roads and roundabouts with complementary technical infrastructure as part of the site development. The works on the DK72 road (state road no. 72) and Kasztelańska Street will start in the coming weeks. Together with our partner, we have prioritized the comfort and safety of residents and future park users. The investment includes the construction of new bus stops with bays, pedestrian paths, and bicycle lanes. Safe driveways to adjacent properties will also be created. All road sections will be equipped with street lighting, including illumination of pedestrian crossings – says Dariusz Puchała, Mayor of Stare Miasto Municipality
The works will involve the expansion of Kasztelańska Street, a local road, over a stretch of approximately 510 meters, the construction of a new section of a local road spanning about 200 meters, and the reconstruction of national road No. 72 over a stretch of around 800 meters, including the construction of two roundabouts. The cost of this project exceeds 20 million Polish złoty and is fully financed by Hillwood. This investment will ensure smooth connectivity to the A2 motorway for future users of Industrial Park Poland by Hillwood, as well as for the neighboring residents.
– The users of Industrial Park Poland by Hillwood who will start their operations on over 100 hectares of land, require efficient, fast, and safe access to the park from the A2 motorway, national road No. 72, and the railway terminal in Konin. Therefore, in cooperation with the Stare Miasto municipality and the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways (GDDKiA), we have found technical solutions that will ensure comfort for future park users and the local community. The completion of the target system serving the economic activity area is divided into stages. Currently, we are launching the development of the first of them. We will complete the works as fast as achievable and in a manner that will cause the slightest inconvenience possible to the residents and road users.
